Ten rooms in Stour House (by Cullen Homes) designed by me…

Cullen Homes specialise in luxury waterside properties, designing the property to it’s highest potential so they reach their maximum value whilst paying close attention to the finest details.

Stour House is located on the River Stour (funnily enough) in Christchurch and is a mahooosive 5500 sq. ft. of pure opulence.

I was lucky enough to co-design the interiors of all the rooms (minus bathrooms & kitchen as they were already designed) and create mood boards to present these rooms. Here are ten mood boards for my designs of Stour House

Entrance Hall
The entrance hall is clean and light colours, with a large dark brown mirror which brings out the dark walnut colour of the staircase. A mirrored console table and a large floor standing vase accessorise the area.
Garage
The garage was designed incredibly already by Tom Cullen so I really didn’t have to do much. The garage is dark, painted with Farrow and Ball ‘Downpipe’ and will have three classic monochrome canvases on the wall. The most striking feature of the garage is the huge glass screen which runs adjacent to the study.
Study
The study has views through the whole house and into the garage whilst having it’s own incredible character. Designed with dark brown leathers and Barcelona chairs the study is quite impressive. It also boasts a bookcase spanning a whole wall and a smoked glass desk.
Living Area
This room is the gorgeous double height living area. It’s part of the open plan living/kitchen/dining area on the first floor, overlooking the picturesque River Stour.
Snug:TV Room
The TV Room/ Snug/ bar area is furnished with a gold and mirror glass coffee table, a dark walnut floor covering, and a modular grey sofa. The soft furnishings consist of lavish golds and dark browns for a luxurious and ‘cosy’ finish.
Blue Mirror Bedroom
This room was designed for the buyer’s daughter of the house – she wanted a blue theme. Therefore on the feature wall there will be two panels of antique mirror which have a blue tint and reflect the colours of the room further. In the centre there is a large white leather headboard which has a matching buttoned footstool at the end of the bed. There are teal & blue soft furnishings in silk, velvet and fur. The bedside lamp has reflecting crystals and sits on a glass table. The gorgeous grey velvet curtains soften the room.
Charcoal Bedroom
The charcoal bedroom was designed for the buyer’s son. A more masculine and darker design that the room above. Still with mirrored panels on the feature wall placed on a charcoal wall covering. The dark walnut bed and bedside tables are floating and match the dark walnut floor covering. The greys and black shades are then extenuated with the soft furnishings.
Neutral Bedroom
A neutral design for a guest bedroom – playing with grey shades and different fabrics. All on a gorgeous jacaranda hand woven grey carpet!
Gold Bedroom
This is possibly my favourite room in the whole house… A black a gold theme that is cohesive throughout – from the Chanel wall hanging to the black and gold ceiling light pendant.
Purple and Taupe Room
The master suite is opulence at it’s best. The taupes, greys and purples scream luxury! The feature wall is a dark walnut wall covering and the floor covering is again, hand woven grey carpet. One wall is dressed with a large gold mirror which is almost ceiling height!
